Job Description
Join Azamara as a Hotel Repairman to maintain, repair and fabricate hotel systems onboard, ensuring guest comfort and safe operations in a collaborative, professional shipboard team.
We are currently seeking an
experienced Hotel Repairman
ready to join the cruise vessel
AZAMARA PURSUIT
under the following terms:

Contract Duration:
6 months ±1
Requirements:
Relevant experience in the position, preferably on cruise vessels
All
valid and up-to-date certificates

valid C1/D visa

Position Summary
Responsible to carry out the daily maintenance and cleaning of engines and mechanical equipment as directed by the Engineer in charge.
Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Staff Engineer and Hotel Engineer.
Safety Duties:
Participates in crew safety drills according to instructions.
Must always comply with the Company’s safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures.
Leads by example by taking care of Health and Safety of self and others.
Ensures that all work equipment, personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety devices are being used correctly.
Language requirements:
Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical). English is the working and safety language on board. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and efficiently engage with guests and crew members. Additional languages are considered beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
Perform
maintenance, repair, and overhaul
of hotel equipment and machinery in shipboard galleys, bars, pantries, laundry facilities, accommodations, and guest and crew areas
Demonstrated ability to operate
motorized machine shop tools
, including drill press, lathe, grinder, and similar equipment
Carry out
fabrication and repair of steel structures
, including aluminium and stainless steel
Perform
welding operations
, including
TIG and MIG
, as required
Fabricate, install, and repair
general plumbing systems and components
, working with steel, copper, and various composite materials
Certificate or Diploma
in a relevant technical specialty
Minimum
three (3) years of progressive technical experience and training
, preferably on board a cruise vessel or within a resort environment, including at least
two (2) years of operational experience
with Power Generation systems, Sewage Treatment Plants, Incinerators, Potable Water Production systems, and heavy operating equipment
Previous experience working in an
international/multicultural environment
High level of proficiency in spoken and written English
Strong
teamwork skills
with the ability to work effectively as part of a multinational team
