Description
The NMC has numerous open civilian federal government positions in our Mariner Training and Assessment Division located in Martinsburg, WV as well as multiple other locations around the U.S. Depending on the position applied for. Other locations include Boston, MA; Toledo, OH; Memphis, TN; Miami, FL; Baltimore, MD; New York, NY; Honolulu, HI; Houston, TX; Juneau, AK; Long Beach, CA; New Orleans, LA; Oakland, CA; and Seattle, WA.Martinsburg, West Virginia is a community that offers small-town charm with convenient access to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, and Pennsylvania. Paid relocation is available for these positions.Below is a brief example of some of the job functions candidates may be required to perform.Evaluate, approve, and maintain requests for mariner course, program, site, instructor, designated examiner, and qualified assessor approvals in accordance with current regulation and policy.Develop and maintain standards for the efficient and effective administration of mariner training and assessment.Evaluate and make recommendations regarding mariner course, program, designated examiner and qualified assessor reconsiderations in accordance with current regulation and policy within the realm of Mariner Course Approval.Develop and maintain examination questions and illustrations to support the evaluation of knowledge for applicable merchant mariner endorse
