Contract Engineer

Responsibilities: Commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, negotiating, awarding and managing all sub contracts and major purchase orders Maintaining effective and accurate project costs in accordance with company procedures and systems including risks and opportunities Arranging all project bonds, guarantees and insurance’s required for the main contract and from all sub contractors Providing commercial and contractual advice to project management teams Liaison with project manager leading to preparation, negotiation and execution of all variation orders with client and sub contractor Compilation and preparation of invoices to client and management of the process ensuring timely payments Qualifications: Solid educational background but more emphasis placed on experience within ship repair, conversions and fabrications for the marine industry.
