Job Description

Responsibilities: Review and technical appraisal of vessel documentation and survey reports, keeping International Register of Shipping up-to-date with the state of the art in your area of specialization with respect to technological advancements as well as regulatory developments, developing internal/external training programs, provide assistance to Project Coordinators and Marketing & Publications Division, as necessary, maintaining the classification rules and regulations, survey procedures manual, survey check lists etc up to date with the state of the art, providing guidance to the filed surveyors as necessary. Qualifications: Naval Architect: Should have a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and adequate experience in Ship Design and Shipbuilding particularly in the areas of stability, strength of ships, ship structures. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis as well as computer programming desirable. Having a Masters degree in one of these fields will be an added advantage. Should be proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
