Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in naval architecture or engineering required (marine, mechanical, chemical)
and/or 5 years of experience in related field.
• Previous shipyard/drydocking/major repair or conversion experience required.
• Working knowledge of steel structure, welding application, electrical systems, machining, and other
shipyard disciplines.
• Working knowledge and understanding of ABS requirements/protocols, USCG
regulations/requirements operating procedures as applied to company vessels.
• Familiarity with various operating systems encountered on vessels.
• Previous Quality Assurance and/or Project Management experience desirable.
• Possess good prioritization skills, is highly motivated and organized.
• Extensive knowledge of safe work practices in shipyard environments.
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, stoop and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work under extreme conditions for long periods of time.
• Willingness to work unusual hours including nights and weekends as required for successful project
completion.
