Job Description
Responsibilities:
Applying computer simulation to ship maneuvering motions. Preparing marine simulator math models for ships maneuvering response, dynamic behavior in harbors and channels, simulation of bathymetric effects, ship interaction, tug forces, etc. for wide range of surface ships, high performance crafts, submarines, commercial vessels and yachts. Preparing simulator propulsion math models. Performing model validation, data and system analysis, stability analysis, motions/mooring analysis, wave and wind model testing and performance evaluation. Designing and managing studies related to port and channel design, human factors, marine operations and marine systems.
Qualifications:
Computer Languages: C++, FORTRAN, Unix, Windows.
Five to ten years background in marine industry. Extensive theoretical understanding of ship hydrodynamics. Knowledge and experience in marine simulation, ship design, propulsion sytems, mathematical modeling and data analysis, 3D-model presentation development and operations research. Superior mathematical and physics skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must have aptitude for computer programming and modeling. Must work well independently and in integrated team environment.
