PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR

Responsibilities: Job Description • Coordinate with Engineering and Purchase Departments for technical evaluation of vendor offers and advise acceptability. Monitor progress and expedite delivery of material. • Prepare procedure for fabrication/erection and pressure testing of piping and coordinate with client for the approval. • Distribute approved fabrication and QC procedures to Yard. • Coordinate interface of subcontractor with Yard. • Provide priorities to Engineering and follow up preparation of shop drawings. Review of shop drawings from construction point of view. • Provide information such as material types and sizes involved on project to Welding Engineer for preparation of welding procedures and liaise with clients for its approval. • Issue complete package for fabrication including drawings, material and priorities to fabrication yard. Attend to any site problems associated with project and suggest solutions/alternatives for Client's approval. Coordinate with other discipline engineers for resolution of interdisciplinary clash. • Coordinate with engineering for preparation of test packs and review of the same. Arrange material required for pressure tests. Prepare detail schedule of pressure tests. Coordinate/follow up with QC Engineer and Client for clearance and approval of test packs for pressure test. • Inspection of pipe work after hydro test and reinstatement of signing of MCITs and handing over systems to pre-commissioning/commissioning team. • Monitor work progress at every stage of construction phase and advise Project Manager with any variations. • Organize and attend meeting with client and other Department to review progress and resolve outstanding issues. • Liaise with Hook-up Engineer to smooth hand-over of the work. Assist in preparation of job cards and load out manifest for transfer of material to hook-up site. Qualifications: Qualification & Experience • University Degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) • Minimum 8 years of experience as in similar projects.
