Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Engine Utilityman assists licensed engineers, performs general maintenance and repair of the ship's machinery, material handling equipment, including elevators and winches, and various other on board machinery. Engine Utilityman duty also include standing engine room watch on all classes of MSC civil service crewed ships.
Qualifications:
Engine Utilityman (Critical Rating) - The Engine Utilityman is an unlicensed member of the ship's engine department crew and requires an endorsement of Oiler and Fireman/Watertender or qualified member of the engine department of any rating on the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Document. (Salary range: $25,524 to $33,423 plus overtime)
