Job Description

Qualifications: Diversified Global 100 energy company with significant operations in around the world is looking for a Sr. Gas Marketing Manager to join a world class team of Gas Marketing professionals in Houston, TX. This position will report to a Vice President of a Business Unit.<p> Purpose:<p> Develop strategy for, negotiate and complete contracts and agreements. Develop language for inclusion in upstream agreements specific to gas market developments. A key element of this role will also be to manage and influence the marketing related elements with partners involved in a given asset.<p> This role will involve contracts of extremely high value and complexity and require a significant level of input and drafting. In addition, it acts as the lead marketing liaison with partners.<p> Key Accountabilities<p> • Identify the highest value opportunities for commercializing equity gas<p> • Deliver gas market requirements which are aligned with corporate strategy, the project team and project schedules<p> • Deliver highest value for all equity gas sales<p> • Ensure buy-in and approvals are obtained from internal and external stakeholders.<p> Responsibilities<p> • Interface with production to reflect the gas market and customer considerations.<p> • Review all gas market options and marketing recommendations for the resource. Develop market plan if not already in place.<p> • Appropriately value gas and LNG transactions. Ensure that analysis for investment and commercial decisions reflects appropriate assumptions, market dynamics and factors in commercial risks.<p> • Obtain approvals as required from internal and external stakeholders.<p> • Impart appropriate language in upstream (PSC and JOA) contracts to protect company interest in the event of a gas development.<p> • Identify and secure customers, and negotiate all contracts.<p> • Development of market-specific gas sales contracts. Negotiate all gas and gas related agreements (GSA, transportation, LNG sales, shipping, regas, storage, gas balancing). Develop strategy and overall approach.<p> Qualifications BBA/Marketing preferable. Experience & Technical Competencies • 15+ years Industry experience relating to marketing, technical and commercial issues associated with the development of oil and gas resources is desirable • Knowledge of energy markets and experience in negotiating long term gas contracts is essential • Demonstrated success in market development in regas, LNG and/or natural gas commercialization
