Job Description

Responsibilities: Cooks perform a variety of functions in the galley to support the food service operation on board. The Chief Cook heads the galley staff and normally comes under the supervision of the Chief Steward within the Supply department. (Salary range: $24,710 to $37,197 plus overtime) Qualifications: Assistant Cooks, 3rd Cooks, 2nd Cooks, Cook/Bakers, and Chief Cooks are all members of the Supply department, require an entry level rating endorsement on the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Document.
