Job Description

Responsibilities: Rotation and Compensation:  Engineering Officers work “Two months on/One month off” rotation.  Full benefits including Medical, Dental, Life, Personal Accident and Disability Insurance, 401(k) available after 6 months. Additionally, all management participate in the company profit sharing program. Qualifications: This is a working Chief Engineer position Minimum Qualifications:  USCG license Chief Engineer limited oceans or higher  STCW 95 requirements  EPA Certification  The applicant should possess the social skills that would be required on a passenger ship. Job Description:  Communication of ships operational & maintenance status to the master, as well as, the New World Ship Management Company, LLC office.  The safe operation of the ship’s machinery, the preventive and corrective repair and maintenance of that machinery.  The enforcement of fuel and oil bunker and transfer procedures.  Management and enforcement of the shipboard oil pollution emergency plan.  The management and maintenance of New World Ship Management Company, LLC’s required rules and regulations concerning the Centers for Disease Control’s Vessel Sanitation Program.  Direct management of on-board engineering staff.  Maintenance and record keeping of machinery records and logs.  Taking charge of the engineering staff, the engine room and machinery spaces during emergency operations, as listed in the station bill.  Management of daily operations of the engine room Contact Information: Interested applicants should fax or mail copies of license and resume to: Captain Scott C.
