Equipment Controller

Responsibilities: * Monitor and control all Equipment Control functions. * Set up and pro-actively maintain an efficient use of the Terminal resources (CHE's) to operate the road and vessel exchange. * Monitor, assign and activate all required work queues. * Manually dispatch or prioritize special road or vessel moves. * Maintain voice radio contact with all CHE personnel. * Solve basic yard allocation and ship planning problems. Qualifications: Container terminal operational experience of at least 3 years. * Must have Understanding of Navis SPARCS System, in particular Yard Planning and Ship Planning principles. * Sound understanding of the Yard and Road processes. * Competent computer skills in Windows environment. * Well developed communication skills and radio techniques. * Problems solving skills. * Self motivated
