Riser Engineer

Responsibilities: This position is open in the Moorings & Riser Group, reporting to the Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering Group reporting to the Manager of the group. The Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering Group is part of the Engineering Department. The RISER ENGINEER will be responsible for the concept development, design and hydrodynamic analysis of riser systems of terminals, floaters and floating production systems. Designs are taken from initial appraisal through to detailed engineering and may involve model testing. The position requires knowledge of relevant design codes and state-of-the-art calculation tools. Qualifications: Profile: An engineering degree in Ocean Engineering or Hydrodynamics, preferably Masters Degree; Minimum of 5 years experience in the Offshore Industry; Familiar with offshore design standards and codes for the design of riser systems; Familiar with state-of-the-art computer software for riser analysis; Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
