Job Description

Responsibilities: Conduct Command and Control (C2) systems engineering for large scale, real time systems. Perform systems engineering analyses and tradeoff studies involving computers, networks, operating systems associated devices and software, in support of the combat system sensor, weapons, communication, information and operator display systems. Develop system, computer, network, operating system, software, and interface requirements for C2 functions, oversee related system design activities, and conduct test and integration of C2 capabilities within and across the system. Qualifications: A minimum of five-seven years background and proven experience in combat systems engineering, performance requirements definition, technical oversight of system/software design, and test/integration of real-time systems. The position also requires demonstrated technical expertise in executing a variety of assignments, experience in leading engineers on technical tasks, effectiveness in problem resolution, the ability to plan and complete tasks within cost/schedule constraints, and the skills necessary to review, interpret and prepare engineering documentation. Candidate must have excellent oral and written skills and be able to work well within a team structure. This position requires extensive knowledge and use of modern operating systems, programming languages and techniques, as well as LAN technologies. Experience with the Global Command and Control System ? Maritime (GCCS-M) and the Naval Tactical Support System (NTCSS) as well as distributed computing and Client/Server architectures in the Defense Information Infrastructure/Common Operating Environment (DII/COE) is desirable. Ability to obtain a Secret Level security clearance is required.
