Job Description
Responsibilities:
Incumbent will be responsible for identifying and evaluating new cable installation
technologies and integrating them into TSSL processes; i.e. cable handling equipment
and installation tools; route selection and cable management software, cable
installation and protection methods. Will evaluate competitor installation capabilities;
establishing contacts with new suppliers and vendors in undersea cable installation and
related industries; and developing relationships with Colleges/universities/academies
active in maritime and undersea technologies.
Qualifications:
MS Engineering degree preferred. BS
Engineering required. General knowledge of undersea cable industry and ship
operations, cable handling, cable protection methods and undersea vehicles is highly
desirable. Engineer’s license and previous experience in developing undersea work
systems are also desirable. Position requires travel, both domestic and international.
