Job Description

Responsibilities: Responsible for the operation and repair while at sea of: Propulsion machinery, Ship generators, Special project generators, Deck machinery (winches, cranes, hydraulic handling systems,Pumps and Motors.Aboard 180’ Research Vessel based in Key West, Fl. Qualifications: 1) High School Graduation or equivalency certification is required.2) United States Coast Guard licenses, as “Chief Engineer of Motor Vessel” with a minimum of 3000 HP is required. 3)A total of at least five (5) years of sea experience as Engineer with at least one (1) year as Chief Engineer performing the following functions is required. Successful candidate must posses or be capable of obtaining a security clearance up to Secret.
