Cable Transmission Engineer

Responsibilities: Overseas and domestic travel (sometimes on short notice) is estimated to be < 20%. Four year degree or technical program certificate required. Maritime experience or technical background a plus. The Cable Transmission Engineer will also manage the implementation and ongoing operations of TyCom's SeaHorse program. Other responsibilities are to ensure all necessary system and contract requirements are coordinated with the ship operators to ensure first class repair services. Support of this program will include project management during the implementation process, documentation organization, customer support and tracking maintenance spares Qualifications: The scope of this job focuses on technical issues including fault locating techniques and familiarity with repair philosophies. Technical training will be available. It will be occasionally be necessary to function as a 24 hour point of contact for fault notification and arrange cable ship mobilization.
