Job Description
Responsibilities:
Experience and general knowledge in the following areas is highly desirable: Principles, practices and techniques of police administration; Public works and maintenance concepts; Governmental environmental review procedures, general environmental management principles, and land use planning practices; Theories and practice of engineering design and construction involving streets and utility installations, buildings and structures; Public relations; Development, negotiation and administration of contracts. Desired BA/BS in related field - experience may be substituted.
Qualifications:
Under direction of the Executive Director, acts as a general top level assistant, and to serve as Executive Director in his/her absence. Administers divisions and/or departments to include: Facilities Management Division; Strategic and Policy Planning Services Division; and Harbor Police. As Deputy Executive Director of the District, manages, coordinates, and evaluates the efforts and accomplishments of the selected divisions or departments and performs related work.
