Port Engineer

Responsibilities: Crowley Maritime Corporation, a leader in worldwide maritime transportation, is seeking a Port Engineer in Long Beach, CA to ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of maintenance of the assigned vessel. Qualifications: Three years documented experience as: - a port engineer or senior engineering manager for oceangoing ships of at least 6000 SHP; or - a surveyor for ABS or an equivalent international classification society; or - a senior marine inspector for the USCG; or - a minimum of 5 years supervisory ship repair/overhaul experience for ocean-going vessels Port engineers must also have one of the following minimum education and professional credentials: - three years of seagoing experience as C/E or 1A/E on commercial ships and a current unlimited C/E or 1A/E unlimited horsepower license; or - a BS degree in marine engineering background in Project Management is desirable. - Prior steam experience required.
