The current companies of American Marine Services Group began to take shape in 1985 with the formation of Pacific Environmental Corporation (PENCO). Recent projects include construction of a new seawall on Johnston Island for the Navy and a new marina at Ko'Olina, Hawaii. Recognizing that American Divers, American Workboats, and North Pacific Construction shared many of the same customers and corporate administration, management took a bold step to combine the three operating companies into a single organizayion. During the summer of 1998 American Marine Corporation was formed.
