ASA - Australian Shipowners Association
ASA works to promote the interests of Australian ship owners and operators, ship managers and towage operators. ASA aims to foster the growth of a cost effective Australian merchant marine. Through its lobbying, research and representative functions, the Association is primarily concerned with the following objectives: <li>To do everything practicable to increase the competitiveness and quality of operations of owners and operators of Australian controlled international shipping and Australian coastal shipping; and <li>To act as a focal point of contact for the Australian shipping industry with governments, other sectors of the economy, the trade union movement, international organizations and the community generally.
