Acteon, a leading provider of offshore energy infrastructure solutions, has acquired Houston-based Upstream Engineering to bolster its engineering and project management services.

In a move to strengthen its offshore engineering capabilities, Acteon, a UK-headquartered company that offers data-driven, engineering-led solutions across the lifecycle of offshore energy infrastructure, has acquired Houston-based Upstream Engineering. Upstream Engineering is a provider of engineering and project management services for the offshore energy industry. The acquisition will allow Acteon to expand its engineering expertise and better serve its global client base operating in the offshore energy sector. "The addition of Upstream Engineering's talented team and complementary services will enhance Acteon's ability to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions to our clients," said Richard Higham, CEO of Acteon. "This strategic acquisition aligns with our vision of being the partner of choice for data-driven, engineering-led solutions across the offshore energy lifecycle." According to the announcement, Upstream Engineering's expertise in areas such as concept development, detailed design, and project management will be integrated into Acteon's existing portfolio of services. This will enable the combined organization to provide a more holistic suite of engineering capabilities to offshore energy operators and contractors. "We are excited to join the Acteon group and contribute our specialized engineering skills and experience to support Acteon's mission of delivering innovative solutions to the offshore energy industry," said Upstream Engineering's President, Brent Matzke.
