The agreement builds on an existing fleet relationship between the two companies and marks a significant step forward in the terminal's ongoing transition away from diesel-powered yard equipment. The addition of the 40 new units will increase Pier 400's total electric terminal tractor count, reinforcing the facility's position as one of the most actively electrified marine terminals on the US West Coast. Pier 400 is the largest container terminal in the Western Hemisphere by berth length and handles a substantial share of cargo moving through the Port of Los Angeles. ### Accelerating the Zero-Emission Transition The move aligns with broader regulatory and environmental pressures facing terminal operators in California.
