By MGN EditorialMarch 23, 2026 at 11:47 PM

Maersk opens a new $150 million logistics facility in Singapore as part of its strategy to enhance its end-to-end supply chain capabilities.

In a move to strengthen its logistics capabilities, global shipping giant Maersk has opened a new $150 million logistics hub in Singapore. The facility, located near the upcoming Tuas Port, will serve as a key part of Maersk's integrated logistics network in the region. According to Seatrade Maritime, the new hub will provide a range of services including warehousing, distribution, and value-added activities. This investment aligns with Maersk's strategy to expand its end-to-end supply chain offerings and provide customers with more seamless logistics solutions. "The new facility in Singapore is a testament to our commitment to enhancing our logistics capabilities and supporting our customers' growing needs," said Ditlev Blicher, Regional Managing Director of Maersk in South East Asia. "By integrating this hub into our global network, we can offer more efficient and resilient supply chain solutions to businesses operating in the region." The opening of the Singapore logistics hub comes as Maersk continues to diversify beyond its core container shipping business. The company has been actively investing in logistics, warehousing, and inland transportation services to provide customers with a more comprehensive suite of supply chain solutions. This strategic move by Maersk underscores the growing importance of integrated logistics in the maritime industry. As global trade and supply chains become increasingly complex, shipping lines are seeking to offer more value-added services to remain competitive and meet the evolving needs of their customers.
