A roundup of recent maritime industry news, including VinFast's financial results and the growing zero liquid discharge systems market.
## VinFast Reports Preliminary 2025 Financial Results
According to a press release from VinFast Auto Ltd., the electric vehicle manufacturer reported its preliminary and unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2025. The company, which has a mission of 'making EVs accessible to everyone', saw strong growth in 2025 as it continued to expand its global footprint.
'VinFast is pleased to report solid financial performance in 2025, driven by strong demand for our electric vehicles around the world,' said Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vingroup Vice Chairwoman and VinFast Global CEO. 'We remain focused on our goal of making electric mobility available to more consumers through continued investment in production, technology, and our retail network.'
## Zero Liquid Discharge Systems Market to Reach $12.4 Billion by 2030
The global zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems market is projected to grow from $8.7 billion in 2025 to $12.4 billion by 2030, according to a new report from MarketsandMarkets. ZLD systems are used to treat industrial wastewater and recycle water, reducing the amount of liquid waste discharged.
The report cites increasing water scarcity, stricter environmental regulations, and growth in end-use industries like energy, chemicals, and food & beverage as key drivers for the ZLD systems market. Asia Pacific is expected to be the fastest-growing regional market, driven by rapid industrialization and development.
'The need to conserve water resources and comply with tightening discharge standards is fueling adoption of zero liquid discharge technology across a range of industries,' said the MarketsandMarkets report. 'As water scarcity becomes an increasingly urgent global issue, we expect to see continued strong growth in this market in the years ahead.'
