On the digital front, Huawei unveiled a new generation of AI-powered AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) solutions for eco-friendly sites and grid-level applications. 'These solutions will help maritime operators optimize their operations and reduce their environmental impact,' said Huawei's VP of Digital Power. The news comes as China continues to make progress on its 'ecological civilization' agenda, with President Xi Jinping emphasizing the need to maintain 'strategic resolve' in this area. According to a report from China Daily, the country's green development is 'accelerating' as it works towards its climate goals. Overall, these developments underscore the maritime industry's growing commitment to sustainability, digitalization, and innovation - trends that are likely to continue shaping the sector in the years ahead.
