A new partnership between Mil-Com Security Solutions and IndustrialEnet aims to enhance gunshot detection and response capabilities for ports, terminals, and other maritime facilities.

In a move to bolster security for critical maritime infrastructure, Mil-Com Security Solutions and IndustrialEnet have announced a strategic partnership to deliver an integrated gunshot detection and response solution. The partnership will combine Mil-Com's Boomerang Spectrum Shooter Detection System with IndustrialEnet's iEnet Converge command-and-control platform. This integrated solution is designed to provide early warning of gunshots and enable rapid, coordinated response from security personnel and first responders. 'Protecting our ports, terminals, and other maritime assets from the threat of gun violence is a top priority,' said John Smith, CEO of Mil-Com Security Solutions. 'By partnering with IndustrialEnet, we can deliver a best-in-class system that gives our customers the tools they need to keep their facilities and workers safe.' The Boomerang system uses acoustic sensors to triangulate the location of gunshots, while the iEnet Converge platform allows security teams to monitor alerts, access camera feeds, and dispatch response teams. This integrated approach aims to reduce response times and mitigate the impact of active shooter incidents. 'Ensuring the resilience of our critical maritime infrastructure is essential for maintaining the flow of global trade,' said Jane Doe, President of IndustrialEnet. 'We're proud to work with Mil-Com to provide a comprehensive security solution that addresses this growing threat.' According to gCaptain, the partnership comes as ports and terminals face increasing pressure to bolster security measures in response to evolving risks. The new integrated system is expected to be available for deployment at maritime facilities later this year.
