Greek tanker owner Performance Shipping orders suezmax pair, Greek offshore contractor Asso.subsea lines up another newbuild, and Bisedge appointed exclusive dealer for Linde Material Handling in East Africa.

In a series of recent maritime industry announcements, several companies have made notable moves in ship orders and dealership agreements. According to Splash247, Nasdaq-listed Greek tanker owner Performance Shipping has signed contracts in China for the construction of two 158,000 DWT suezmax tankers. The $81.5 million per vessel deal was made with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, expanding Performance Shipping's presence in the crude oil tanker segment. Separately, Splash247 also reported that Greek offshore contractor Asso.subsea has exercised an option at China Merchants Heavy Industry's Shenzhen yard for a second next-generation trenching support vessel (TSV). The new vessel, to be named Andromeda, will be a sister ship to Avra, which was ordered in September 2025. In other news, Bisedge, a leader in sustainable logistics solutions, has been appointed as the exclusive dealer for Linde Material Handling products in East Africa, effective March 1, 2026. As reported by PR Newswire, this exclusive dealership will allow Bisedge to provide Linde's full range of material handling equipment and services to customers in the region.
