(MSS), a Santa Fe, New Mexico-based energy technology company, has secured $7 million in funding to accelerate pilot-scale production of lithium-6 and lithium-7 isotopes — materials considered essential to the development of advanced nuclear reactor technologies, according to a PR Newswire release dated August 31, 2026.
The funding round is intended to strengthen domestic supply chains for next-generation nuclear energy, a sector that has attracted growing interest from heavy industry stakeholders, including segments of the maritime community exploring low- and zero-emission propulsion alternatives.
