Oilmar Celebrates 10 Years with Charitable Giving Initiative

By MGN EditorialFebruary 17, 2026 at 01:12 PM

Dubai-based oil and gas company Oilmar DMCC marks its 10th anniversary with a new philanthropic program supporting 10 charitable organizations over the next decade.

Oilmar DMCC, a Dubai-based oil and gas company, has announced the launch of a new charitable giving initiative to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The program, titled '10 Years, 10 Charities, One Responsibility,' will see Oilmar partner with a different nonprofit organization each year over the next decade. According to the company's press release, the initiative 'links each year of the company's journey with partners and causes that are close to its heart.' Oilmar did not provide specifics on the charities it plans to support, but stated that the program will focus on a range of social and environmental causes. 'As we mark this important milestone, we wanted to find a meaningful way to give back and make a positive impact,' said Oilmar CEO Khalid Al-Marri. 'Through this initiative, we hope to support organizations that are making a difference in our local community and around the world.' The launch of Oilmar's charitable giving program comes at a time of increased focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the maritime industry. Many shipping and energy companies have established philanthropic arms or environmental initiatives in recent years, seeking to minimize their environmental footprint and contribute to the communities in which they operate. 'Initiatives like this demonstrate the maritime industry's commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen,' said gCaptain editor John Smith. 'By aligning their anniversary celebration with charitable giving, Oilmar is setting a positive example that others may look to follow.'
