Peak Nano Partners with E&P Technologies to Develop Fusion-Grade Capacitors
By MGN Editorial•March 11, 2026 at 12:34 PM
Peak Nano announces a strategic partnership with E&P Technologies to develop high-energy density capacitors for fusion energy, aerospace, and grid modernization applications.
Peak Nano, a leading materials science company, has announced a strategic partnership with E&P Technologies to develop fusion-grade high energy density capacitors (HDCs). The NanoPlex™ HDC dielectric film developed by Peak Nano will enable next-generation pulsed power systems for a variety of critical industries, according to the press release.
'This partnership allows us to strengthen U.S. supply chains for advanced materials that are essential for emerging technologies like fusion energy,' said Dr. Jared Sanchez, CEO of Peak Nano. 'Our NanoPlex™ film provides unparalleled energy density and performance that will drive innovation in aerospace, aviation, and grid modernization.'
The new HDCs will support pulsed power applications in fusion energy research, as well as aerospace, aviation, and electric grid infrastructure. Fusion energy is a promising avenue for carbon-free power generation, though significant technical hurdles remain. Advancements in pulsed power components like these HDCs could help accelerate progress in fusion reactor design and testing.
'Partnering with Peak Nano gives us access to their unique material science capabilities,' said Samantha Ling, President of E&P Technologies. 'Together, we will develop new solutions to meet the demanding performance requirements of next-gen pulsed power systems across multiple industries.'
The two companies will work to manufacture the NanoPlex™ HDC film in the United States, strengthening the domestic supply chain for critical components. This aligns with broader efforts to onshore production of advanced materials and reduce reliance on foreign sources, a priority for the U.S. government and military.
Overall, this partnership represents an important step forward in developing the technologies and supply chains needed to support emerging clean energy and defense applications. As the maritime industry continues to decarbonize and adopt new technologies, innovations in pulsed power and energy storage will play a crucial role.
