Pivot Energy, a national renewable energy independent power producer, has announced a multi-year partnership with the Sustain Our Future Foundation (SOFF) to invest $400,000 in local communities in Garrett County, Maryland. According to the press release, the investment is tied to nearly 500 MWac of Microsoft-supported solar projects developed by Pivot Energy across the United States. The funding will be used to support various community initiatives and programs in Garrett County over the next several years. 'This partnership represents our commitment to not only developing renewable energy projects, but also investing in the communities that host them,' said Emily Ritter, Vice President of Community Impact at Pivot Energy. 'We're proud to work with the Sustain Our Future Foundation to direct resources where they can have a meaningful impact for local residents.' The Sustain Our Future Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on supporting sustainable community development projects. 'We're excited to collaborate with Pivot Energy on this initiative,' said foundation president Mark Johnson. 'These funds will allow us to address critical needs and priorities identified by the Garrett County community.' This announcement comes as Pivot Energy continues to expand its portfolio of solar energy projects across the country, many of which are supported by corporate offtake agreements with companies like Microsoft.
