Princess Cruises celebrated National Margarita Day by breaking the Guinness World Record for most margaritas sold in 8 hours, selling over 1 million of their signature 24K margaritas.
In a spirited celebration of National Margarita Day, Princess Cruises has broken the Guinness World Records™ title for the 'Most margaritas sold in 8 hours'. The cruise line sold an impressive 1,023,491 of their signature 24K margaritas, made with award-winning Pantalones Organic Tequila, during the record-breaking event held on February 22nd in Cozumel, Mexico.
'We're thrilled to have set this new Guinness World Records title and celebrate National Margarita Day in such a memorable way,' said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president. 'Our guests clearly love our 24K margaritas, and we're proud to have served over 1 million of them.'
The record-breaking event is the latest in Princess Cruises' efforts to provide unique experiences for their guests. According to gCaptain, the cruise line has been investing heavily in onboard amenities and programming to differentiate itself in the highly competitive cruise market.
'Breaking Guinness World Records is an exciting way for Princess to showcase their commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences,' said Bud Darr, executive vice president of maritime policy and government affairs at MSC Group. The 24K margarita, which features Pantalones Organic Tequila, has been a popular offering on Princess Cruises since its introduction. The Maritime Executive reports that the tequila brand has seen a surge in demand from cruise lines and resort operators looking to elevate their cocktail programs with premium, sustainable spirits.
