By MGN EditorialMarch 5, 2026 at 10:14 PM

The 2026 REMADE Circular Economy Tech Summit & Conference will showcase 50 new innovations to increase reuse, remanufacturing, recovery and recycling of critical materials in the maritime and other industries.

The REMADE Institute®, a 150+ member public-private partnership established in collaboration with the United States Department of Energy, will host its 2026 Circular Economy Tech Summit & Conference next week in Washington, DC. According to a press release from REMADE, the event will feature 50 new innovations aimed at increasing the reuse, remanufacturing, recovery and recycling of critical and key materials. The maritime industry has a major role to play in the circular economy, with significant opportunities to reduce waste, extend the lifespan of assets, and recover valuable materials from end-of-life vessels, equipment and infrastructure. This conference will showcase the latest technologies, business models and policy initiatives that can help the sector become more sustainable and resource-efficient. 'The transition to a circular economy is crucial for the long-term competitiveness and environmental performance of the maritime industry,' said REMADE CEO Monique Oxender. 'This event will highlight some of the most promising innovations that can help companies across the supply chain reduce their material footprint and capture more value from waste streams.' The two-day conference will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions and technology demonstrations covering topics such as advanced recycling, remanufacturing, material traceability, and policy frameworks to incentivize circular practices. Attendees will include industry leaders, policymakers, researchers and innovators from the maritime, manufacturing, energy and other sectors.
