Shell Recharge and SINEXCEL (300693.SZ) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding and inaugurated the Shell Recharge–SINEXCEL Joint Laboratory in Shenzhen, China, signalling a deepening partnership aimed at accelerating innovation in electric vehicle (EV) charging technology.
The announcement, reported via PR Newswire on 18 June 2026, marks what both companies describe as a significant new milestone in their ongoing collaboration. The Shenzhen-based facility is expected to serve as a dedicated research and development hub, bringing together Shell's global EV charging network expertise with SINEXCEL's established capabilities in power electronics and energy conversion systems.
While the partnership is primarily focused on land-based EV charging infrastructure, the development carries broader relevance for the maritime sector.
