In a significant development for the maritime energy storage sector, Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems (ESS), and Delta Capacity, a developer and long-term owner of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), have announced a major expansion of their partnership. According to a press release from Sungrow, the two companies have signed a framework agreement for a 1 GWh BESS project. This agreement was signed at the Energy Storage Summit in Munich, Germany, underscoring the growing importance of energy storage solutions in the maritime industry. 'This expanded partnership with Delta Capacity is a testament to Sungrow's technological leadership and our ability to deliver large-scale, reliable energy storage systems,' said Max Zhou, Vice President of Sungrow.
