Sungrow and Delta Capacity, leading companies in energy storage systems, have signed a 1 GWh BESS framework agreement to expand their partnership.

In a significant development for the maritime energy storage sector, Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems (ESS), and Delta Capacity, a developer and long-term owner of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), have announced a major expansion of their partnership. According to a press release from Sungrow, the two companies have signed a framework agreement for a 1 GWh BESS project. This agreement was signed at the Energy Storage Summit in Munich, Germany, underscoring the growing importance of energy storage solutions in the maritime industry. 'This expanded partnership with Delta Capacity is a testament to Sungrow's technological leadership and our ability to deliver large-scale, reliable energy storage systems,' said Max Zhou, Vice President of Sungrow. 'As the maritime sector continues to prioritize sustainability and emissions reduction, we are proud to support this transition with our cutting-edge BESS solutions.' The 1 GWh BESS project will leverage Sungrow's advanced battery technology and integration capabilities, as well as Delta Capacity's expertise in developing and owning utility-scale energy storage assets.
