TSEA Energy Invests $25M in U.S. Manufacturing Facility to Support Grid Modernization

TSEA Energy is investing $25 million to build a new manufacturing facility in North Carolina to support the modernization of the U.S. power grid.

EDEN, North Carolina - As U.S. utilities face growing pressure to modernize aging grid infrastructure and meet rising electricity demand, TSEA Energy has announced a $25 million investment to build a new manufacturing facility in North Carolina. According to the company's press release, the new facility will bring TSEA's production closer to its utility customers, improving supply reliability and creating 160 new jobs in the region. The investment is part of TSEA's broader strategy to support grid modernization efforts across the country. 'This new facility will allow us to better serve our utility customers and deliver the critical components they need to upgrade and expand the power grid,' said TSEA CEO John Williamson. 'By manufacturing closer to our end users, we can improve responsiveness and reduce lead times - a key priority as utilities race to meet growing electricity demand.' The announcement comes as utilities nationwide face pressure to modernize aging transmission and distribution infrastructure. A recent report by the American Society of Civil Engineers found that the U.S. power grid requires over $2 trillion in investment over the next 20 years to ensure reliability and resilience. 'Investments like this from TSEA are crucial to supporting the grid modernization efforts underway across the country,' said Samantha Lee, an energy analyst at gCaptain. 'By expanding domestic manufacturing capacity, companies can help utilities access the equipment they need more quickly and efficiently.' Construction on TSEA's new North Carolina facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, with production ramping up shortly thereafter.
